The Street PhotoFestival officially opens its doors, inviting the public to the inaugural exhibition “Unscripted Moments”, which will be launched on Friday, December 12th, at 18:00, at the foyer of the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) Theatre, 256 Pireos Street, Athens.
This year’s open call received 2,235 submissions, from which the artistic committee selected 309 photographs by 289 photographers, presenting a rich and multifaceted glimpse into everyday moments and human experiences captured across a wide variety of settings. The exhibition highlights the power of street photography to reveal spontaneous, unrepeatable scenes—small narratives that emerge without direction, without staging, and without a script.
During the opening event, the three awarded photographers of the festival will be presented. As part of their distinction, they will each showcase an extended body of work in the next edition of the festival, in a three-person exhibition, with all printing costs covered by the festival.
The first-place winner additionally receives a monetary award of €500.
